Nurseries for Babies – Don’t Make Them Just Pink or Blue

A nursery for a baby boy is usually blue. That’s a little boring don’t you think? Why not include in the nursery decorating more of a denim blue with chambray blue. The light “baby blue” is over done. I also like earth tones with touches of blue and green. A baby girl’s baby nursery could be blue also. How about a shade of aqua or light teal blue? Gone are the days of totally pink nurseries for girls and just blue for boys. Be creative with ideas and decorating with color. Don’t be afraid to experiment with ideas. Mix the colors of paint or have more than one color on the wall. If the color isn’t exactly what you want in the nursery at first try, just paint over it. That’s the nice thing about paint. It’s easily fixed.

You may fall in love with a certain vintage baby toy that was given to you when you were a baby by a grandparent. Base the nursery color scheme around the faded vintage colors of the toy. You can make a fantastic statement in a nursery with just a few out of the box ideas.
