A Country Bed - Wood to Iron

What kind of picture is in mind when it is country bedding for the bedroom? A country bed can consist of a rugged log bed, an antique iron bed, or a typical wooden frame. Country to me would be a shabby chic look. Vintage quilts and bedspreads look great with solid color bedding. Country to someone else might be ruffles and lace with canopy bedding. Bedding with a country style could also be cowboy and Indian theme. Denim is also a good choice for the country motif. Denim as an accent is durable and washes well. Solid blue works well with almost every color and print in bedding. Bedding in the country style suits that type of home. I wouldn’t want a country bedroom in a very contemporary home. The flow of the room would not be right. I may put vintage bedding into the modern bedroom because an eclectic combination is my favorite choice for bedding. Think of hot pink bedding in a rustic log bed. It isn’t a picture that I would want. The bedding doesn’t go with the bed. Think about huge Hawaiian print bedding in a masculine log home.
