Custom Bedding – Get Creative In The Bedroom

Do you like to be creative? I am very creative and I enjoy making custom bedding for my bedroom. Whether I’m decorating teen rooms, a nursery, or my own I enjoy working with paint and fabric to create something new. I don’t spend a lot of money when I redecorate a room. I have made my own duvet with some leftover sheets. Just stitch up the sides and leave an opening to insert the comforter. It’s simple.

Customizing Bedding – Use Paint

If you’re handy with painting, get some fabric paint and a white sheet and just let the imagination run wild. I love a very free form look. Painting flowers to look exactly like flowers isn’t fun for me. I like to make the colors look more abstract and it looks like I’m making a custom water color painting with a big canvas of a sheet. I have also decorated sheets and pillowcases with the little round fabric buttons that were popular in the 30’s and 40’s. I love that vintage look and I can make a customized look easily. That look takes a little more time to do, but it is fun. Make curtains to match the bedding and you have a complete suite. Make the bedroom sing to your tune when you customize a look that is your personality.
