Memory foam is touted as being the most comfortable sleep system on the market today; however, they are quite expensive if you purchase a total memory foam mattress set. The new latex mattress is just great. They are cool and comfortable. If money is an issue, the toppers are another good choice. Foam Density and Thickness – Check Before You Buy

Density of foam really does matter when it comes to the mattress toppers. If you are considering guying a latex topper, just make sure you get one with at least a 4 lb. density. Not all the foams are the same even if they are the same density. Really take the time to feel the foam and see is you think it is comfortable. If you aren’t quite sure what thickness to buy consider this…the two inch foam will be very comfortable for back support, and yet you won’t lose comfort. A three inch foam will be more luxurious in feel and softness, but you may lose a little back support. If you are heavier, you might want to consider the three inch topper. Also check the labels for at least a 10 year warranty. If you can’t afford the luxury of a complete memory foam mattress, give yourself the splurge of a memory foam topper instead. Your back will thank you.
