I am a fabric artist so I love creating with vintage fabric. When people ask me to make unique baby blankets for gifts, I am thrilled because it gives me a chance to do such sweet things for a nursery. Vintage fabric is wonderful because it is generally soft cotton that makes it great for baby blankets. They are actually more quilt like, but that’s ok. I mix up old chenille bedspreads with cute little patterns in a collage form.

More people are going this route because personalization is big business and we all like to see our names out there from time to time. Don’t stop with just a unique blanket. I bet mom still has some baby items for you when you were a newborn. Nurseries can start looking the same from one house to another if they all shop at the same store.
